In the twenty-ninth century, technology has made almost anything possible – including time travel. Unfortunately for a strapping scientist and his Orbicular Robotic Intelligent Electrodynameter (ORBIE), his experiment has pushed them through a worm hole and back into the pollution-choked late-twentieth century.
In this issue - Living In The Past - The Futurist and ORBIE use their futuristic powers to neutralize the biggest oil spill Earth has ever experienced. While The Futurist and ORBIE are able to help heal Earth with their knowledge of future technologies, they are not able to retrieve enough energy from a sickly planet to get back to their own time. They have no choice but to dedicate themselves to helping the Earth through environmental crises so that – in the future – the planet wont experience devastating harm.
